Croydon were once again amongst the medals at the British Masters Indoor Championships at Lee Valley this weekend, bringing home a silver and a bronze.

Linda Harrison won silver in the W55 long jump with a 2.61m effort, and Mandy Rowley leapt to bronze in the W45 high jump thanks to a clearance of 1.35m.

The Harriers also had finalists in the 3000m, with M40 Andy Del Nevo clocking a new personal best of 10:05.85 to finish 4th, while M50 Colin Oxlade continued his Virgin London Marathon preparations with a 4th place finish in a time of 10:17.25.

Elsewhere, James Buchanan set a new course record at the Christ's Hospital 10km trail race, crossing the line in 33:19 over half a minute clear of his nearest challenger.
