Ashby Mile - Assembling at the start
Tonight saw another Ashby Mile completed with 14 taking part. Ben Savill with Andy del Nevo close behind were the first across the finish line after the 4 lap spectacular.
The Result and updated standings will follow once calculated by Andy over the weekend.

Every season (from December through to March), four time trial races are held during training nights at Croydon Arena (7.45pm as advised under Fixtures page).
This is a Mile race (4 full laps and starting 10 metres back from the 400 Metres Start line.
Due to the various standards over different age groups, a handicap calculation is applied to each performance over the four sessions and a 'standings' table is created.

The handicap is worked on the basis of age and your current Personal Best at this distance. As the Mile distance is not normally contested by most athletes and you do not have a previous time covering a mile distance on track, this is worked out for you based on either your 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m 800m or 1500m performances and an adjustment made.

Natuarlly you have a much better chance of winning the competition if you turn out for at least 3 of the 4 races held over the 3 months.

It is a fun as well as serious competition - some take it more seriously.

See the Fixtures page for further information and any changes made.

There is one race that remains that will decide the final positions.

You will find the latest Results and Standings HERE or from the Fixtures page.
